V I B E: Autumnal, Moody, Modern

Hangar 21 had their first grand opening last year for the their super sweet helicopter hangar space. Well guess what? They’ve managed to dream up and create yet another STUNNING, modern space for weddings on the South side of the airport!

As far as design goes, the venue is split up into 3 spaces: The Hangar, The Patio and The Tarmac.

Inside the hangar, you’ll find an autumnal moody modern design with multiple lounge areas to showcase how diverse the space truly is for weddings! In the loft space above the hangar, we had two separate lounges: one simple with white peacock chairs and the other a more masculine set-up with animal hides. Below the loft were all the yummy desserts brought over by Jay’s Catering, with another fun seating space and a stunning floral wall-piece to showcase where a couple’s sweetheart table could go! The rest of the hangar was decorated with fall vibes with an ode to the modern look of the space. Using mixed metals, woods, and leather was prominent to showcase how brilliantly you can spice up the space while still blending your design with your own personal aesthetics!

The Patio is the set-apart space for ceremonies and/or cocktail hours! It’s nice and tucked away from the other areas for that privacy. In this cute little patio were two bright lounge areas to showcase how much fun you can have mixing and matching pieces to bring fun colors into a space while still keeping the modern, mixed metals vibe flowing throughout. In between the two lounges, we had a moody sweetheart table display with a floral decorated arch that was to die for. The ceremony space was stunning – decorated with pampas grass, bold burgundy and cream florals to really tie into all the colors of the outdoor space.

The tarmac is where the party happened, with a mixture of music from the talented live band Ocdamia Music Group (O.M.G) and the always amazing Vox DJs while helicopter rides went on in the backdrop! There were long tables lines up around the dance floor to showcase how the reception can happen all outside if that’s your cup of tea! In this space, the hangar served food and also had a sweet leather lounge opposite from a spot that could serve as a selfie station or photo-op spot – aptly named “Wingman.”
